If Trump wins, he can slowly steer the GOP away from God, Guns, and Gays and back to real economic and foreign policy issues. If #nevertrump prevails, the Ted Cruz evangelical wing of the GOP wins forever.

Isn't Trump a Christian?

Metæ replied with this 10 years ago, 9 minutes later, 1 hour after the original post[^] [v] #721,238

No. Trump - like Obama and both Clintons - is only nominally a Christian.

Even so, there are actually a lot of pro-LGBT Christians.

Wait the lgbt community doesn't want guns to defend themselves? Also what do immigrants have to do with gay people?

"Nominally" means "in name only". I know our weird customs may be hard to understand for someone not from the USA but you have to at least pretend to be religious to run for President in America.

I personally believe neither Trump nor Obama nor Hillary is religious.

It depends on what you mean by religious. I don't think any are Christian or any other mainstream religion.

I know. He goes to church and donates to church. There is literally no reason to believe any of these people are atheists.
