Did you work this out yet? I don't have much time currently and will be leaving for a week in a few hours. It sounds like it could happen due to cookies in an inconsistent state so it could be worth a shot to clear your cookies for minichan.org. Do let me know if that does anything.

Just cleared my cookies and it didn't do anything. Also I have to fill in a captcha to make this reply even though I have logged back in to my UID?

That is a known issue. When restoring your UID it can take up to 5 minutes for the board to stop asking you to fill out captchas. I really should fix that sometime.
