yes it would. It looked like a bomb and multiple teachers told him to stop showing it to people because it looked like a bomb. So what does he do? makes the alarm go off multiple times in class. White kids have gotten in trouble for bringing all sorts of things to school. this is no different

This 16yo honor student ended up getting suspended and forced to attend a more "diverse" school for fuck ups. This was after someone spotted a butter knife in the back of his truck. He'd help his grandma move a day before and the knife fell out. He was able to prove this, but the school was afraid to show leniency to a white kid.
