Yet again men are demonised by the feminists.

Actually it's feminists who promote most rape prevention

If you don't advise precautions against getting raped, then you are an accomplice to the rape that would happen to the person you are not advising. I think these "rape culture" style of feminist/SJW are trying to get more girls raped so that there will be more bitter, angry, damaged girls to join their bitch team. Misery loves company.

Isn't this true for any crime though?

Ah the good old "switch the train" approach. I disagree. Not advising anyone to avoid rape is the morally correct option, because an evil arising from your lack of action is a magnitude less than an evil arising from your action.

Preventing a rapist from raping your friend by preventative measures means that the girl he does target instead is targeted because of your actions. Therefore, you have a moral blame for the attack of that girl.

By doing nothing to prevent the rapists, you have responsibility over none of the events. It's better to let someone be raped than cause someone to be raped.

Don't tell me to lock my doors, instead just stop all theft from happening. We need to teach "don't steal" and then everyone can leave everything unlocked. Locks are promoting theft culture.

If everyone took the advice, then the targets would be too difficult for many would-be rapists to succeed. There isn't necessarily a second potential victim occupying the same easy space that the first one avoided.

In an ideal world, sure, but we don't live in one. It's Schrodinger's sex crime, and so it only makes sense to assume that both outcomes will come true. In this case, one is forced to conclude that enabling the rape is morally equivalent to causing the rape.

also your headline is misleading. they (i too) dont take issue with 'rape prevention' but rape prevention that focuses on changing women's behavior rather than... rapists behavior. which is basically excusing rapists/accepting that men rape, like, a lot, as a fact-of-life kind of thing. isnt that reasonable? and dont strawman me for saying this but thats part of rape culture. what it is. i will acknowledge that women/people probably could, in a very very small capacity, prevent FEW rapes by modifying their behavior (just to try to level with you), but when you ascribe to that line of thought you are acknowledging that women ARE prey. to men. for rape.

It's a good thing those methods aren't mutually exclusive, then.
