They are probably fine for the spare bed or something. I like new pillows when they get a bit flat. I also like expensive pillows so I guess I don't replace them that often

Once my mother forced me to change my pillows twice in one day. It could have traumatised me but she didn't care.

Fold the pillow in two, like you're trying to get extra neck support. If it doesn't bounce back, throw it away.

That's not how you summon syntax. You have to make a post about stinky teenaged girl poots and changing the cooking oil in your yaris.

I only replace the pillow my head rests on and probably much to often. I considered trying that My Pillow I see when I watch Fox news (Political season only for lulz) but I hate that guys voice,
So I continue to buy and try new fangled foam vs Goose down-Foam combos. GF's do not allow me to change their pillows.
I assume you mean the key one for the bed? Couch pillows remain with the couch which changes like once every 3 years or so. Depends on the room.
Why am I being asked about pillows?

You need a brain transplant and I am not kidding - I need to look that subject up again because there is a new twist on this technology that offers even more

I have been around lots of years and my only feedback on this subject is from the girl in the bed next to me. Each has always had their fav pillow. A couple over the years when invited to stay the night wood bring over their pillow. I am not sure about this neck support thing and you may be right but for me I want to bury my neck in the pillow and have my face supported but having NEVER thought about the mechanics of this? I need to give this subject more thought

Shit I forgot you're supposed to do that
Whatever changing the pillowcase is probably fine

Foams break down. Down either Duck Goose or whatever and don't quote me on this but I think it mechanically breaks down and goes flat. I like the super thin and ultra high thread count cottons but have found the only way that works is to have a stronger thicker pillow case under the super one. Sheets and pillow case.

Best if you can pretest what you buy. Places here in USA like bedroom shops where you can lie down and test it out - You can later find that pillow for a fraction of the price at some other store or maybe get it when the store you test it at has a discount sale.
Based on the many hours your head is on that thing every night - spending some good money makes a lot of sense.

I've had my pillows for a couple years, and the ones before that nearly a decade and they were surprisingly fine

Well, you should make sure to wear clean socks as shoes on the bed would be inappropriate

You could take your own pillow case with you and protect your derelict self.
You could also dress in a huge plastic bag with hole cut out for head and protect your full body
