Just curious, seems like this could exist somewhere, but it seems like when it comes to hardware manufactures it is either OS X, Windows, Android, or ChromeOS. Yes, I am aware that Android technically counts as GNU+Linux.

Few years ago best buy tried to sell them that way. Dirt cheep but no one bought them. Kids in school want need MS word and the open source stuff does not match exactly

LibreOffice or OpenOffice might have formatting issues with native Word documents, but they work just fine when it comes to the basics. I can't imagine kids having to worry about whether a fontface was universally supported.

Besides, real GNU/Linux users void the warranty, format that HD, and install their own shit.
