I always assumed that was a British English word, in regards to government handouts. But I guess you would gravitate to British English since you're from Iceland.

I don't know about that but I would say that when it comes to learning English in Iceland, a big part of it comes from American entertainment

It's the same here in Belgium. Most of our education comes from American culture. It's why we all fuck our cousins and think euthanasia is a country near China.

Thanks man. I'm a little bit annoyed though. It feels like yet again the perception is i understand Danish perfectly and I'm only allowed there because of it, even though I don't understand it fully.
