One night when I was a wee little kiddie, I was returning home with my mother and father when upon stepping out of the vehicle we witnessed a flash of light which appeared as if it were coming toward us. The shape seemed almost as if it were an angel which could have gave me a fascination with the mythical creatures. I remember my father saying, "Signs come to those in the end." If this were truly a sign then it came a little bit too early as my father passed away in 2001.
The night morning, my mother said what it was from the local newspaper, but I cannot recall what it was she read. I do recall her mentioning it had something to do with some testing thing out by the base. Like some new plane or something.
What could have possibly caused such a bright light that appears to move toward the viewer?

All right, Catherine, there was no alien. The flash of light you saw in the sky was not a UFO. Swamp gas from a weather balloon was trapped in a thermal pocket and reflected the light from Venus.

yeah r04r rolled back the thumbnailer so it doesn't try to animate gifs anymore. It also seems to not be doing transparent pngs anymore either.
