I know it's belief without evidence and it's okay if you don't believe in God. But I asked God to not make it be cancer regarding the sickness of one of my relatives and I said I would quit drinking and smoking if he just didn't make it cancer.

So I started smoking and felt guilty but I told myself that God would understand i must stop one thing at once. Then I took a sip of a beer and told myself that I should wait for the results before I would stop.

Then I took another sip and I just threw up like crazy, again and again. So I thought it must mean God is angry.

But now I really want a beer.

So your saying all of the above is meaningless mental talk?

did you post this just so that someone could say god didn't exist so you have an excuse to drink again?

Maybe, or maybe i feel a little bit crazy as seemingly me drinking one more time (last time) may result in someone i love dying of cancer.

Promises to God usually tend to be pretty serious and judging by His actions in the past old testament. He no like-y broken promises. I hope your relatives don't get cancer. ;_;

I've accepted that I have tons of broken promises to God and went from a prayer to a beggar.

What do you mean from a prayer to a beggar? Can you elaborate?

@OP
God is omniscient so he understands how hard it is to quit smoking and drinking. Jesus can forgive all sins.

I seem to pray too much and I don't even fully believe in him.

Not sure but I do think that telling this person that you are trying to stop drinking and smoking for them would definitely help them.
