I don't think that anybody here is a dedicated Metal Gear fan (neither am I, really), but this is interesting for Konami taking the series in such a radically different direction, since Hideo Kojima left.
In a nutshell, this one is a co-op survival game with zombies. And takes place in an alternate universe.
Needless to say, Metal Gear fans in general are angry about it. But "co-op zombie survival" has to be one of safest, most mainstream game pitches I've heard, so the game still might sell well with a general audience.
