Topic: If you went swimming with your favorite toaster...

With the intent of killing yourself, do you have to plug the toaster in first or can an unplugged one still electrocute you?

So like you expect an Electric Eel to come along and swing its body over the ac male power plug and power up your toaster?

Make sure it's plugged in.

If it was a washing machine you could get a nice non-lethal zap out of it, but not from a toaster.

How could an unplugged toaster electrocute you when there would be no electricity?

I thought maybe there could have been a charge left a few minutes after it was unplugged.

Probably a good idea to take Electricity 101 and do it on the web.

Devices like Computers - DVR's Cable box - Basic radio you plug in or TV set - They do have Capacitors which do hold a charge for a bit after you pull the plug.

Toaster Is AC in and just an alloy wire is directly connected across the AC line to heat up and make toast. Unplug and the only thing that happens is you still can burn shit out of fingers or dick if you stick such in the hot wire in toaster.

That's only for those pocket toasters that attach to your cellphone case. They can keep a charge for a few days if you arent constant making sandwiches
