Its a bit more simple than that. Democrats are of course on the Moderate to Liberal side and Republicans just the opposite. Those in POWER the Republicans all have decent Gov Salaries AND Very good most excellent Health care all on the GOV. So its easy for them to be disconnected from the costs and problems for not having what they have.
Recently I was forced to take my Social Security and sign up for Medicare - Its truly bizarre what happens if I decided to say NO - I have not used the Medicare but have looked at what its good for. Even my current doctor could remain the same. I pay Doc about $125/ visit and Medicare I don't have a clue how much he gets and will ask but my share wood be I think $15
Deal is I rotate which client pays my fees and since several clients demand special tests that are expensive the Annual physical is dirt cheep by comparison so it no big deal - Damn just looked up the Annual and Medicare pays 100% --
Social Security aint all that bad cause I could buy a brand new car ever year with what I get - BUT I sure as hell could not begin to live off of it

No, I don't think he supports universal health care. What about those poor sods on Zeta Reticuli with health issues? Trump seems really against aliens.

@previous (D)
No one and that includes Trump has a clue how he feels about any issue. Other than if it makes people clap, he has no need to spell out exactly how he feels about anything.

It's amusing because if he were a little more savvy and compromising, those traits would actually make him a decent politician.
