There are only two forms of written Chinese: simplified, and traditional. Mainland China uses simplified. Most mainlanders can also read traditional. There is NO WAY that Chinese border guards looked at your passport and "could not read that form of Chinese." Whether it was traditional or simplified, they COULD READ IT. You are FULL OF SHIT.
