I'm not going to lie. I do wait for telemarketers to call. I go along with acting like I'm buying what they're selling as long as I can before the call is over, then I call restaurants asking for prices on menu items that I don't even eat.

I used to do that! I even made a "point sheet" that listed off bonus points for each minute you wasted their time, each time you got them to repeat part of their spiel, each stupid question you got them to answer, etc.

Oh, when I did it I had just moved into a new apartment and we kept getting calls from realtors wanting to know if we were interested in selling the property. A cursory amount of research would have probably kept them from wasting their time calling me, but I never felt bad about making them waste as much time as possible.
