Lunix is a hacker operating system. Steam bans all suspicious and/or illegal activities because they monitor every process that is happening on your system.

@previous (Catherine !TGirlYJKXM)
I am not going to call you a retard because you have an actual intellectual disability, but both you and this thread make me want to throw unfit children into the sea like we did in olden times.

Okay a serious answer
Having a BitTorrent client is not evidence of using that client to infringe on intellectual property rights.
Even if it was, Steam would not ban you for it. Doing that would be intrusive as fuck on your property (i.e. Your computer) and steam would derive no benefit from doing so. In fact, it would be actively harmful for the company. They almost certainly would not have copyright over the IP and would thus have no right to do anything about it except report it. The banning itself would remove a potential money source from steam. It would be like throwing revenue away.
The Linux thing is a joke. Linux is often downloaded via BitTorrent and the joke is that doing such is the only reason one would have for having such a program installed.
They're referencing an article which was well known years ago for an astounding lack of computer literacy. It was about hackers, and claimed that an interest in Linux (or Lunix, as the article constantly misspelled it) was evidence of your teenage son being a computer criminal.
You're being compared unfavorably to the writer of that article. You are being mocked for the lack of understanding of the things you use every day which gave rise to your question, which is based on nonsense logic.
