ugh, I don't like trendy phrases like "white privilege". There is a term from academia that describes how the concoction (and I presume, the naming) of an idea makes it alive or real in a sense, at least in the minds of those that learn it. It's kind of a mind control thing, and cultish. The term is "reification". https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reification
Ironically perhaps, accepting the concept of reification is an example of failing to innoculate your mind from reification, or not, whatever
