Mostly it's my fault I guess, but they also have my number and know where I live too. It's mutual I suppose, but as a group we have drifted apart because of life and it's challenges and stuff and things and situations change. We get together only once or twice a year now.

My friends older sister died just the other day... I didn't even know, because I don't facebook and that seems like a really shitty way to announce that stuff anyway, fuck. There was an awkward moment between me being blissfully unaware and realizing that I'd made quite a fox pass asking about how she was. I look back and think that just for a moment everyone there thought I was being purposely hurtful or something. Why would you say that?

Holy panic attack batman. I could feel the heat on my skin, and the blood pressure pumping up my big red stupid face. My ears popped like I was at altitude and it felt like I was slightly removed from the conversation. I couldn't really hear the mumbling and shit excusing the situation afterwards, but if I could have climbed under the table or just got up and left never to return I maybe would have.

I sat there quietly for a bit, then I went to the toilet and tried to blow my eardrums back into operation. I'm lucky they are all my friends and it was all just brushed off anyway.

tl;dr I asked how my friends dead sister was doing, because last I herd she just got married.

It sucks to grow apart from friends but like you said it's life, you could try to reverse it or accept it.
