That's a difficult question. The Democrats are quite a classy act (at least next to the Republics), so wine seems appropriate.
On the other hand, beer could reflect the Democrat desire to connect with all peoples, as it is the more casual and far-reaching beverage.

Last Night it was an Extended Taco Tuesday party in walking distance in my hood and I had to split early to get much work done BUT did get to continue to watch the terrific speeches. OK so anything in Wok is just hours to prep but minutes to cook.
Thinking Grilled Kabobs of Shrimp - Pork - Beef - Chicken - over white rice to make it sorta Oriental with some sticky orange sauce to pour over the Chicken aka Chinese Orange Chicken

@705,786 (beckyderp !Hi.HILLARY)The one I attended wazzzz terrific Except by special request I was asked to provide home made Char Siu (Chinese BBQ Pork) Everyone was more than happy with my contribution PLUS it was one hell of a show. Down side is I did not have enough time to finish the cooking and took the in process stuff over to hosts oven. However it does require turning the pork and basting multiple times and one gal who offered to help made a mess and now I have mass amounts of oven cleaner and toxic air in kitchen so as to penetrate the burned on sugars/

I really enjoy the chemistry of cooking as well as being able to zone out and not think about work at all. Also dinner parties are great places to get oooooh'as n ahhhhhhhhaas to feed my Ego.
