I was at work the other day and a woman asked, "Do you carry any CD drives for computers." I said "Nope, we don't have any external CD or DVD drives." Then she said, "Well then what's this for $40?" She proceeds to drag me over to the product she's talking about....
"Ma'am, that's a DVD player. It will not connect to your computer."
"But it says here that is supports CDs and SVCDs."
"Yes, that means that when connected to a TV or stereo system it will play music CDs through the speakers, and SVCD is a video format you can put on a CD and it will play about 20 minutes of video."
"20 minutes? No, that's not right. My computer can play more than 20 minutes of video."
"I'm talking about the CD not your computer. This device is not going to interface with your computer in any way."
"OK, whatever." ::storms off::
In the same day, there was a women at our cell phone kiosk who INSISTED that she needed a smart phone. As the features of the smart phone were being explained to her she asks "What's a webpage?"
