Can they not be anonymous? This extra power is making things uneasy in here lately and I personally feel that knowing who is making the decisions to delete threads, might ease tension.

No. The point of having anonymods and removing the hyperlink from their name is to stop the division of the community between the mods/admins and the regular users. If mods make it known who they are, it defeats the purpose of the changes sim made.

I'm pretty neutral about it. The new system has its pros and cons, but I don't mind if we can't see who's modding. Sim and r04r track mod actions anyway, so they are accountable, just not by us.
