If many, many cops can afford to spend their days sitting at the side of the road stealing money from daily commuters by having illicitly low speed limits (85th percentile is the law in Michigan), and storming the houses of medical marijuana patients and robbing them blind, instead of doing real work, then maybe we don't need so many cops.
