Some time ago there was drama in Iceland where a school decided on its own to stop visiting churches on Christmas. Because according to them it's inappropriate and not fair for the non believers involved, like children and parents.
And I thought, why can't they just let the different groups do their own thing once in a while? We just let the parents have some say in the education and try to please as most as possible. It can't be bad to expand public education and offers variety that can please different cultures.

The way I understand the term multiculturism is that it is a word that is meant to promote a benign attitude towards other sorts of people. But because the term is tossed around so much, even in some official documents, it gets a political tinge and therefore it becomes something to be for or against. There are people that actively shit on the term because it is seen as not in their polical way, and some people go further and shit on other people and get really fucking nasty.
Anyway in modern democracy everyone is supposed to be pretty fuckin' free with whatever they think their culture is and do whatever the wish within law. To me, I don't see a hell of a lot of difference in how people live these days, unless you compare someone in a city who wears shoes to some fuckin Amazon jungle guy with clothing no bigger than the palm of your hand. But something like, oh we go to this church on Sunday versus we go to this mosque on Friday, or we eat these fuckin' steaks but you eat those fuckin snails who gives fuck, everyone fuckin relax
