The marathoners are annoying. We've got fucking bike trails but they still insist on riding the road.

i very rarely have to deal with bicyclists. occasionally some dipshit will be riding his dumb bike on avenues during peak traffic or some other stupid shit like i saw yesterday where a dude rode his bike across lanes of traffic and almost got hit. but it's rare i even see people on bikes, and most people ride on sidewalks anyway since there are no pedestrians, like, anywhere. even downtown there's no bicycles. there's literally a system of underground tunnels all over downtown that run from high-rise to high-rise that have everything from restaurants to dudes in golf carts sending parcels back and forth. it's kinda cool. never been down there.

so they don't really bother me. in dallas.

austin though, fuck those pricks. they're everywhere and downtown the rickshaws are fucking the most annoying things ever.

Most of the bikers I see are either elderly or Amish or both who use three wheeled bikes and when they don't ride on the sidewalks, the cops encourage them to do so. The second types of bikers I see are either drug dealers or the homeless or both and they never use lights. The third type I see are Hispanics on their way to landscaping jobs in the early morning. None of these annoy me.

http://www.dallasnews.com/news/census/20130305-census-commute-count-507397-coming-into-dallas-county-each-morning.ece

it would be very hard for most people to do either the way this city is built. there are 7 million people in and around dallas, and half a million people commute into downtown every day. this doesn't take into account people that commute across town suburb-to-suburb to work. the average commute is around 25 minutes one way. and to be honest, 25 minutes even in crosstown traffic at rush hour can carry you 15 miles or more. several highways are running at capacity and those were actually recently renovated. in a few years we'll have gridlock again instead of just congestion.

anyway, point being, people aren't going to bike 15 plus miles twice a day in 100 degree weather.

I'm a bicyclists and this thread offends me.

Lol kidding, the more you whieners honk the slower I ride, and the more I insist in claiming every inch of the road the law allows me to.

I also have a drivers license, and drive a car, and bicyclists don't annoy me at all.
