Topic: What do you think of the IMDB top 250 movie Mary and Max, about friendship between a man and a loli?

It's just a cartoon movie. Claymation actually. And the little girl isn't even hot. But it is a really good movie about a lonely middle-aged man with a little 8 year-old girl as his only friend. I'm amazed this movie can be distributed and somewhat popular, as it seems to say this kind of relationship is okay. I would love one myself. But do you think our same society that put this into the top 250 movies with their votes would actually accept a real-life version of this relationship?
