Alright fuckers it's day 1 of free agency. What do you want/expect to happen? How do you feel about what has happened so far? Let's have a manly sports thread.

We signed Jeremy Lin to a 3 year/36 mil deal which seems like crazy good value If we pick up some quality mid-level guys I could see us making a push for the 7/8 seed, though maybe that's a little ambitious.

12 million a year for a backup point guard is a good value? Jack was a better player last season before tearing his ACL and he was 43.
Your roster is and will continue to be a warm pile of garbage. :(

He's a starting caliber PG who has just always been on the bench behind better ones. Our roster is pretty bad but only because it's young. We have a lot of cap room left to spend and no team in the east is gonna beat the Cavs in the playoffs for the next 2-3 years anyway so it's irrelevant if we aren't finals-ready. This is a long-term build up and it looks pretty good to me.

I'll let you think he is a good point guard. On defense he's a big liability and with the pieces around him in Brooklyn I think it will be a long sad season. We shall see.
Everyone has cap space. Why would anyone choose to go play for a team whose fans are holding their breath for a first round sweep against the Cavs?
It's not about being finals ready. It's about not being such an embarrassment that you're shipping off top 3 picks to a team that is going to prevent you from being successful for the next decade.

Lol we won literally 25% of our games last year. I have no delusions about the quality of this team. What I'm saying is this is an exciting future. Yes we gave our draft picks away for a shitty plan that didn't pan out, but going forward I like what our team is doing. No one has as much cap space as we do, besides like maybe the sixers and no one wants to go there. You would come here to be on a young team that has potential to be a playoff contender in a weaker conference in a couple years, in a great city with the newest arena. There are plenty of players who do not play for the Cavs in the east, in case you didn't notice. If your point is there is no reason to be an NBA player in the eastern conference on a team not named the Cleveland Cavaliers I guess that's true if your goal is to win this year, but if you have any other goals as a professional basketball player that isn't necessarily true.

Reports are saying that Heat were offering Wade $10 million. What a fucking disrespectful move. I hope he goes somewhere else.
