Farage comes off as the reasonable one. It would be impossible to guarantee that every pound the UK saved would go to the NHS. It would be doubly impossible to promise anything because Farage isn't even in government and has no control over it. It just seems like another tawdry "gotcha" question.

I thought so too, at the time. It was, seemingly, coming from a different Brexit campaign than the one Farage was more associated with. It's still fucking shit that the Vote Leave campaign pushed that half-baked claim so hard, but it's arguable that Farage wasn't behind it.

I personally received Leave.EU campaign leaflets which said: "We send £350M a week to the EU. Let's fund our NHS instead." followed by paragraphs explaining how the NHS is underfunded and how many hospitals £350M could build. It's extraordinarily misleading, even if it wasn't a claim Farage himself made.

Closing the open borders is what healthy working people voted for. Unhealthy sickness beneficiaries may have voted for £350M a week.

The majority have voiced their opinion. It's not just the far right that wants it, the center and many on the left want change too. The first step is leaving the EU

It would be absurd to take all of the EU taxes and put it into the NHS. I mean, Kernow's £60m per year needs to be replaced, and probably lots of other areas will need replacement of EU aid so the part left over for the NHS will be relatively small.
@696,013 (TTEH !PUPenis69.)
If it wasn't Farage's claim the media shouldn't have even asked him about it.

Even then... It seems rather convenient that this is only coming out after the referendum.

Frankly, the NHS needs the money.
No offense, but I don't want a USAmerican system. :(

The people voted to have less immigration and more health care. The Labour party obviously don't want to make that happen so they just imploded. The first party that bases their campaign on that rhetoric will do well at the next elections. EDL NF UKIP BNP will unite and make England grate again by giving the majority what they want. Thanks

Britain had an NHS before the EU, so I don't see why they can't have one after it.
I'll buy some Lloyd's Banking Group stock in a bit and send some dollars to England to help you guys out.
