Why people with mental illness shouldn't own a gun. This is the example, right here. She has been in multiple domestic disputes however she still retained her right to own firearms. This is the crazy part. Most states would have seized her guns had she been a male.

The police had the opportunity to petition the state of Texas but chose not to because they believed she was not a threat due to being a woman.
Nobody is perfect kook. My psychologist thinks that me being bipolar could have just been me suffering from dysphoria, or the dysphoria was exacerbating this. If in a few months there is marked improvement in my mood and general well-being she will change her diagnosis of me to something that might fit better. At least I am doing this the right way, going to professionals to deal with the issues I have instead of denying they exist like others do and you would say that I should have my rights stripped because I did that?
