Topic: Dealing with "the big other"

The big other sounds like the big brother and it's not far off. The big other is like a policeman in our heads, that police man who always says other policemen are near by and listening. He ain't really police though and nobody is listening.

He is a master of deception and will make it seem and feel like it's just you and society, that there are only 2 people in the world. But it's a lie, don't believe it.

Are you on any drugs you shouldn't be, or not on any drugs you should be?

@694,235 (beckyderp !Hi.HILLARY)

Within our minds, there are 2 major drives that can take over our relationship with the world:

1 the drive to survive
2 the drive to reproduce

Because we depend on each other to survive, the drive to survive can pervert your relationship with others. It can make it so that everyday you structure your life on a imaginary threat which is exclusion from the tribe.

The big other is human thought being materialized through your relationship with the world. You see a man, and instead of just seeing a man you instead see a judge, some kind of a representative of society.
