I.e. "I preformed basic routine maintence on my riding mower yesterday after letting it sit up too long."

That's grate, habibi. Maybe you can mow some lawns for spare scratch now. That booze ain't gonna pay for itself.

What exactly constitutes a 'half assed pocket knife'? I'm assuming you mean any of them worth more than you earn in a weeks time.

tell her you were worried and she is important to you..

I would be very disapoint if you do not care enough about your mom to check on her..

You are wrong.

I have probably done just as many deck belts as you have. Did you grease the zerks? You will burn up your bearings prematurely if you don't. Would have been a good time to sharpen the blades too since you had the belt off (especially if you had the deck off).

That sucks, if you still haven't got into contact, you can generally ask local authorities to check in on her if you have an address. This is iffy area for a lot of people, but they're generally pretty understanding about this sort of thing... but it can upset family members sometimes. Your call, bud.

Okay, I had more typed up, but let's try this again. You sure there isn't any other family/friends? Unfortunately I don't know of any decent resources in India that could help off the tip of my head. :\

→Can you afford to blow a few hundred?
If yes, you can try hiring a private investigator, but continue reading anyway.

If no, continue reading.

→Data Brokers

There are plenty of data brokers online, some will have paywalls, some won't... it's trial and error.

Pipl has worked well for me in the past in addition to a US paid subscription service to another data broker (irrelevant since we're focused on Canada). Search just first and last name and Canada as the location. Most of these sites are pretty simple, but as a general rule don't try to be super precise with the location to start w/ when using data brokers (you can narrow it as you go).

If you can find her address, you can send someone round to check up on her and to let her know that you're very concerned.

→Public Phones

You mentioned she used public phones. If you can retrieve those numbers, jot 'em down, and figure out where they're at. It's not a certainty, but there's a good chance she isn't too far from these. Especially if you got repeat calls from one public phone in particular, or if you have a few public phones which are in relatively close proximity to each other. That can allow you to map out a grid and get you reasonably close to where she lives.

If you can get that close to the place she lives. There are few other things you can try to get someone's address. A hit miss one would be contingent on if she pays for utilities (electricity and/or city water). The utilities one is a crapshoot, but I'll elaborate if you know the city.

→ Details

What's her career or is she retired, any unusual hobbies or habits, medical conditions, etc?

Those sort of details can potentially help refine your search. You'll be doing a lot of phone calling to ask if _your_mam's_name_ works/lives/visits _whereever_.

You can check nearby hospitals by asking to speak with patient, _your mam's name_, if that doesn't turn up anything, tell them that you're just concerned about your mam and checking local hospitals. Not a bad idea if she has preexisting medical conditions, but really it's not a bad idea period, unfortunately it's been weeks, so she could've left by now.

Hospitals may have her address on record, but they definitely wouldn't give out any actionable info here in the states, although you might be able to tell them situation and get passed on to someone who can pass it on to the authorities, but that might just be wishful thinking on my part.

→→→ Missing Persons Report Missing Persons Social Media Campaign

Are you ready to file a missing persons report (Y/N)?

If yes, do it. Bring any photos you have, bring any repeat public phone #s if you still have them, and rack your brain a bit about anything else you might be missing that could help.

→ Missing Persons Social Media Campaign

Going to the authorities is grate, but their ability to help you is limited, especially in these cases, so let's balance the search in our favor as much as possible.

Include her name, a picture, any relevant info, your contact info (setup a new gmail account and use gtalk for this), and add a little 'thanks for helping me find me mam' bit at the bottom.

Convert the flier into a jpeg and maybe make a nice 8x11 ver. too.

You can get pretty involved with flier bit, but the whole point of this is to cast a very wide net on social media (nearby Canadian city forums and subreddits, craigslist and/or kijiji, imgur, instagram, facebook, g+, etc) and the closer you can get to where she lives, the better.

→ Conclusion.

Honestly anything you can think of specific to her could potentially help, but if she doesn't work, have a routine, phone #, etc... it complicates things.

I'm sure that there's some typos and/or incoherent babbling in there, but that's sort of where we're at I think.

The public phones #s could be more useful than you know. If you've lost them, see about getting a copy of your phone records from w/e company you use.

Some of what I said above will seem like common sense, but hopefully it might just be useful.

When you find her make sure to get her address and the names+numbers of any of her friends and neighbors in case this happens in the future. If she gets offended, explain you wouldn't go through all this effort if you didn't care, and hopefully that'll calm 'er down.

Good luck, ChiliDawg.

Fixt. Well, as close to fixt as it's going to get. Meh. I'm sure there's more, but that's all I've got right now. GL.
