You just do? You stop letting how you feel get in the way of decisions. Stop caring about others. My empathy turns off for anyone I do not know, why should I care about them? They wouldn't lift a finger for me. I can turn it off for people I know but I prefer them to think that I care and that I am a nice person so I act kind and considerate and play the part of the empathic friend.

No, you are thinking of a Psychopath. I was actually a pretty nice kid for the first few years after I was born. Getting abused and seeing things as a child made me into one. I started off by killing and torturing animals, that was the big warning sign. I guess I enjoyed seeing what they looked like inside. It was soothing.
I Know this sounds fucked up, to me I don't really feel anything toward it except disappointment that I didn't kill more things, there are quite a few creatures I still want to dissect. I have to keep my urge to kill in check. I always wanted to go fight a war, I feel like I would be at home there. I would enjoy it, a lot.
You don't have to go full tilt like I did and murder and maim whatever you want, just stop giving a shit, honestly. Realize these people won't do a thing to help you if you were in the same boat.
