I went to a rave with some guy (drove him there), never met him before that night. Seemed alright, a big dodgey, he grows weed plants and shit. That was a couple weeks ago, now he invites me to a BBQ at his house. Part of me wants to go, but on the other hand there would probably just be a bunch of people I've never met, would be really awkward etc. Am I just being a pussy? What do?(Edited 45 seconds later.)

I would go, but you have to be smart about it. Before hand you should set up certain times to call a friend. If you miss a call, she can come and help you out. Also, agree on a code word that can be slipped into a phone conversation, that would let her know that something is wrong. Bring your own liquor, if you can, and don't accept open containers.
