I put 4 artichokes, upright, in a pot with 1 quart of water with celery and onions. I then squeeze the juice of one whole lemon into each artichoke, and throw the discarded lemon into the pot. I then cook it all on medium heat, until the artichokes are tender and delicious :D

New Orleans ...Oyster and Artichoke soup. Amazing except they do use canned Artichokes. I make mine from fresh,,,not often lol a lot of work!

Cook Artichokes often and have frig loaded up for tomorrows dinner.

Ex GF prepared a dinner from Salad Soup to main course and dessert all based on Artichokes...Have a daughter with that GF.

My main problem with growing artichokes is that the flowers are so fucking beautiful.

Whenever I've grown artichokes in the past I say fuck it to the delicious food because I'd rather have the epic flower.
