What a great question. Once asked about his childhood, he said he tried to forget most of it. He Was blacklisted by his communist country, yet found work as a professor in university, through connections.
He used to travel around the world by counterfeiting invitations from foreign universities. This meant he would be allowed to travel outside the country on the expense of the University which belonged to the government.
Oh and he was offered the job of being the head of secret service in his country. I could go on and on but the man is a legend, you should devoted some time to learn about him.
