> She had not traveled outside the United States within the past five months.

Did they ask her where her vagina has been recently and did she put down paper on pubic toilet seats.

We have a women where I work who got a too high dose of antibiotics. It damaged her circulatory system and her fingers and toes started turning black and falling off. They amputated both legs but nothing else yet.

i wouldn't worry about it too much. i was reading the other day that pharma companies don't design new antibiotics much anymore because there's not much money in it and wasn't much need. there were a lot of promising projects that were shelved and just waiting for the need and the funding to complete them. also, there's a thing they can do with existing antibiotics to make them work again by adding a drug that effects the bacteria's ability to resist it or something like that. it's actually a very complex thing that was described as an arms race that we're just not funding enough, but can easily fund it and go back to wiping the floor with bacteria. they used to make 15 new antibiotics a year, now it's like 1 or 2. we could make a lot more, but don't.

so it'll be a bit of a problem, but no pandemic. as the doctor who wrote the thing said, we just know too much

Sounds like a solid business plan by big pharma. The more people that die, the more profitable the solution will become.

I know a man who is only like 45 and very good looking. He was partially paralyzed by antibiotics and uses a weird scooter where you use one leg to kneel on the seat and the other to propell himself. I was shocked and asked him common it was and he said common enough that we have support groups in every county in Florida.

It happens. I was almost paralyzed by a flu shot. I have CIDP which is the chronic variant of Guillain-Barre. My doctors didn't fuck around when I first got sick. I was literally talking to a neurologist the next day after I complained about my legs feeling tingly and funny.

Yeah...I do :/

Some of them I caused. Others I just hit the shitty lottery. My life hasn't been easy in any sense of the word. Every day was a struggle and still is. However, I am on the right path now.
