i've never really been all that great at FPS games. stuff like Call of Duty. the run-and-gun shooters. my K/D is usually pretty bad and i'm just not an outstanding twitch shooter, so 1v1s were usually not easy. i'm pretty used to playing with people that are better than me at shooters, but i don't think i'm doing too bad. my accuracy is actually way up from usual. honestly i think it's because i'm using my old WoW controller and took fire off of my mouse buttons. that and this game is soooooo similar to all the stuff i loved about WoW PvP arenas. it took me a while to get good at arenas, cooldown management is so important that it can make or break a game. earlier i blew a Mercy rez during a big push when i popped up a dead Soldier76 and an enemy pharah took out our tank and 2 DPS right after. if i would have waited (i wasn't in danger) until just before Soldier76 respawned then i would have gotten PoTG. instead soldier 76 got killed and we lost.
oh yeah, and the Wombo Combo's are important too. stacking 2 ults. like, Zarya's Gravity Well with any AOE ult, like tracer's bomb or McCree's deadeye. team kill. but that's also a WoW PvP thing.
