So I frequently have dreams where I'm protecting a "baby". It's actually some animal that everyone, including me, calls it a baby and treats it as such.
Sometimes the little bundle is a puppy or kitten, but usually it's a basket of hamster like creatures. Small and furry, but creepily bean shaped. I also frequently need to save them from drowning.

Once someone brought to my workplace, a very young puppy with newly cropped and docked ears and tail. The poor thing was all bloody and shaking, like it didn't know what to do. It was so sad.

I've seen it a few times and it's heartbreaking. And the owners Bing them in like it's adorable. The puppies are always weak and feverish and clearly shouldn't be out and about.

Declawing is inhumane, they're actually trying to outlaw declawing in USAmerica. To a human, it would be the equivalent of cutting off the tip of your finger, at the first knuckle.
