make a team based shooter instead
people start with shift weapons, for example first spawn everyone has fists
then if you die, you respawn with a melee weapon
then if you die, you respawn with a pistol
etc
so each time you die, you get better weapons, making it easier for you to kill your enemies, who will also get better weapons because of that. the very last weapon you get is an allahu akbar bomb which explodes after a few seconds, and then you have lost.
last person standing wins

I think he means more like you get all this cool shit at the beginning, but you have no idea how to used any of it and then a shitton of bosses come at you and you have to try and not die or else you respawn with shittier stuff each time you die.
