Do it yourself. If it is an OHC engine it is actually super easy. Go buy a haynes or a chilton (I recommend this one). Get you some socket wrenches and shit. You can rent the Torque wrench from the parts store when you torque down the head.
That is why I drove old cars, It is a pain when they break down but I can actually fix them.
