My girlfriend suggested to me that when you die you might relive that strongest feelings/thoughts that you were having as you passed. Then said that worrying about dying might get you stuck in a panic filled loop for eternity.

I think it's as simple as this. If there were a God; consider the Christian God for a moment. This is a God that made man in his image. Why would this God, starve people?
Now I do not expect anyone to end up with a good answer to this. I do not believe in the Tooth Fairy nor God. Just fairy tales.
