That was a gift, it's a relatively inexpensive Parker Urban fountain pen, but it's fun to scribble with. If you want a fountain pen... just because,I'd give the kit a try, I wanna say they're going for like $40 right now. Although FME might be a better person to ask for a starter fountain pen. The knife on the left is is a Hinderer XM18 Skinner.

Okay, I was a bit distracted when I took this shot. The knife in the top left hand corner is an Emerson commander and is one of my favorites (that one has seen a lot of use). The other knife is a Brous Blades T4 flipper and it's just a blast to fidget and cut with. I always love flipper knives though, and I've owned around 6 or 7 Brous Blades' knives and this is one of two that I felt really hit mark (the other one being the Strife). Most of Jason Brous' flippers just don't have enough real estate on the flipper tab, OAL is too small (although the two I mentioned may be too large for a lot of people), or have other issues, but these two make up for it, and they're beasts with beautiful craftsmanship and ultra precise machining behind these knives. Unfortunately that's just the G10 version, but I'll pick up a carbon fiber one in the near future hopefully.
And of course the Glock 26, it's just a subcompact version of it's older brothers the G19 and G17. Austrian made, like Quack, but uh, by less crazy people. Won't even discuss the torch since it's mostly cut off, but yeah. More knife pics to come, madaboutanti.
It sucks you know, BladeShow2016 is coming up in June, but they're changing the regulations on NFA trusts in July. So now I'm stuck choosing between going to BladeShow or buying a suppressor, SBR, or some other toy. C'est la vie. Tough call, but I'm running out of time. A suppressor sounds like the most fun to me, but I was supposed to meet up w/ people at BladeShow. :(
There's always next year though, but not necessarily for a suppressor, short barreled rifle, sawed off shotgun, or if I really wanted to go big, a full auto toy. I doubt I'll blow that much cash though, most class III guns get fairly pricey and in all reality I can just get a slidefire stock while they're still legal or bumpfire without one.
Okay, ta ta for now.

Great taste in the P938, not that there's anything wrong with the Ruger, but I just like Sig. I wouldn't mind picking up a P938 myself though.

They're popular handguns for sure. The P938 is as close to a pocket pistol as I'm willing to go, but I like the way they feel in my hand, which is unusual for smaller pistols.
Here's one I've picked up recently by RIA, it's shoots 9mm ans .22TCM, that round is essentially a necked down .223, sort of like the 5.7 performance wise. In hindsight I wish I would've gone with the doublestack instead of single stack version though. :(

Benchmade has some quality offerings, but honestly, unless it's a Griptilian with AWT scales, I'm not a huge fan. Although I loved my Ritter grip w/ AWT scales, but I just got rid of it. Go for it. And depending where you're at (I mean if you're in a rural area or w/e), you can add or remove as necessary. ARs really are like legos though and are a ton of fun to work on after you tinker with them some. Although modifying to full auto is going to put a lot more wear on the rifle a lot faster too. I'd go with a heavier barrel and a gas piston setup over direct impingement, but it's up to you.

9mm is sufficient, I mean the it's not like we have to worry about someone wearing body armor, unless you're after [REDACTED] and 9x19 penetrates reptilians just fine. I don't really buy into 'stoppin powah', but I mean if you did have to shoot something fleshy, 10mm or .357sig should disable someone cranked out pretty quickly.

For your first 'real' knife, you might go with something a like an Ontario Rat model I or Rat model II folder. Check it out: Rat Model II in Pink.

When you say 'plink' and 'shot guns'... are you still referring to pellet guns? If you've shot actual guns and it still seems over the top, maybe try something like a .22lr, they're fun, not overly scary, and takes can destruction to a fun new level. If they're really just not for you though, I get it though.
