My spoken English is more than OK - Now that said - Once in the 5th grade after school I ended up hanging out with my teacher. She was better than most. Discussion at end was on some complex subject years over my head. She asked me a question and I replied and apologized for my English. She sure made me feel great when she said she understood every word and the grammar was more better than expected.
Hanging out had to do with her wanting to talk to me about my written English skills vs my best in class math skills. At that time I had and no one had a clue about Dyslexia. I never even had a clue about Dyslexia until after I got out of UCLA. Dyslexia was a Bitch - Easier at Uni level because I could afford to hire tutors and editors to correct my submissions prior to a class. What I could not figure out at the time was why others could see a 2D drawing with the 3D hidden lines and see the object as 3D - To pass that Engineering drawing class I had to copy the drawing - cut out the paper and make an object out of cardboard so I could see it in 3D
Now with Computer aided design - that wood not be a problem for me -
