Whenever I get the feeling of de'ja vu, most of the time the event never happened unless it was involved in a past dream. This scares the living shit out of me and makes me suspect that I am mentally ill. Given I am probably not as mentally unsound as someone else here, but this is still fucking scary. WHY DOES THIS HAPPEN?!

OPIts possible the event did happen and it was in one of the alternate universe.
Sometimes I get that de'ja vu moments and its only days or weeks later when it strikes me as to exactly why.
Also you are aware its possible you were abducted by space aliens and probed and they erased your memory of that.

I suspect it is caused by ripples in the space time continuum when squeegee is leaving/arriving via his time fog.
Basically, the ripple causes time to jump backwards a second, but because conscious thought exists outside of the physical realm, the imprint remains with you and when that second repeats you recognize it as a prior occurrence.

Doesn't the Tardis cross between multiple planes of existence? I think that would require a much more precise mechanism that doesn't allow for the creation of anomalies.

Well, Syntax has every universe down to the most minute deviation reachable within his "15 minute zone", squeegee is only traveling forwards or backwards within our specific frame of existence, so yeah.

These experiences of deja vu and jamais vu are all due to interference from morphic resonance. Just build a faraday cage to sleep in and the one that lies dead but dreaming shouldn't be able to manipulate your thoughts/dreams anymore. Have you considered a tinfoil hat?
