I recently broke my external hard drive where all my music was saved on. I don't think I'll ever get that shit back but I was wondering if I'd still be able to keep the music on my iPod as it is and just continue storing more music from my laptop.
Is this possible?

If you go into iTunes, the lost ones that you synced should still be in your library, but marked as unable to be found.
They should remain on your iPod and you should be able to sync more without losing them, but if it were to be wiped, you can't get them back.

Well, I mean if you were to have to restore it or sync it to another computer, anything that would cause it to have to sync everything again.
You should be fine if you just keep using it as normal.
