Tragedy. Tragedy is the most beautiful thing in the world to me, because it's tragedy that makes me feel the most, that makes me see the most and learn the most. A person without hardships is a person with no depth. It makes us human, makes us understand. Makes us know and dream and wish and hope. When we lose everything, we gain more in ourselves than we realize. No change is bad change. You can grow into a "better" or into a "worse" person, (maybe only when compared to certain standards), but you still grow. And growing is what makes us sentient beings. Thinking is beautiful.
