I really should start watching their original programming though since I've been wanting to watch Man in the High Castle and Transparent for sometime. But their discounts on items from the store and free 2 day shipping are definitely helpful if you need to make a spontaneous buy. Plus access to their music library is always a nice addition even though they lack a number of free songs compared to Spotify and Pandora.
I think it's worth $50 a year. I hate how it always feels like their payment sneaks up my asshole, but at least it's gentle.

They push it a bit too hard, imo. I make perhaps 1 or 2 Amazon purchases a year and have no interest in the streaming TV shows so I can't justify $80/year. I'm pissed that they raised the free standard shipping cutoff from $35 to $49.

It's like $50 a yr for students, but they increased their rates. I still get a student discount though, so it's all good. For the money, and if you do a fair bit of online shopping, it actually saves a ton. Especially around birthdays/special occasions/antichrist-mas, I'm just referring to prime and Sunday delivery, not the other perks, since I don't use any of them.
