Hypothetically, you advertise for a roommate. The first person to answer the ad is a non-passing black MTF cross-dresser. Do you give him* an interview and check his references, or do you just say "Fuck off, we don't want your kind here"?

*For the sake of convenience, we'll use masculine pronouns, regardless of how he identifies.

I am currently a white non passing M2F who was recently looking for a job.
I disclosed to my bosses and they were all like "Yeah, we don't discriminate against anyone here, here at [Insert company name] We do not discriminate." However they really do. The interview would be cut short, we wouldn't review that was in the packet that was passed out. It sucks.
My current company knows and supports my transition, they really do not discriminate.

I'm genuinely curious. The immigrants from TC were notorious for their racist attitudes, and MC's regulars are infamous for their transphobia. How would they honestly react in this scenario? As for the SJWs...well, I'd like to know if their beliefs extend to actually living with the kind of people they're defending.

I guess, but trans people are even less common than gay people, and a good portion of the trans people you meet probably won't tell you that they are trans if they aren't in the process of transitioning. This is a hypothetical that will NEVER happen to @OP and I don't even know what they are hoping to get out of this. I swear when people start talking about uncommon sexual or gender orientations people absolutely LOSE THEIR MIND. I just don't get it.

I really wouldn't want to room with a male. Race doesn't matter to me.

What did you end up doing? The question I would ask myself is "Would I feel comfortable sharing a living space with this person?" If you wouldn't feel safe, then you don't have to let them live with you. I don't see what the big deal is.

I invited him in, talked over a cup of tea, then told him I had other people to interview. A few days later, I called him back and told him the truth: I'd found someone who I thought I'd get along with better than all the other applicants. He didn't ask me to elaborate on this point, though if he had, I would have been honest and told him I didn't think it would work out, given our differences in personality. No harm, no foul.

You'd advertise for a female then? How would you handle it if a gender-confused male turned up, insisting that he was female "inside"?

I'd just say no, with no explanation. Or just never call them back.
If they'd already had their penis removed though, then I wouldnt mind

Depends. Landlords here are very picky about who gets in. If she could demonstrate consistent income and didn't bring people back to the apartment I wouldn't mind.

That's fair. It might be different if they are a more selective escort. The average prostitute may just be too much of a risk to room with.

It's interesting how a lot of companies have a a "non-discrimination policy" but still actually discriminate (and of course make up phony reasons why they didn't hire you).

This might actually make it harder to find to the employers that actually really don't discriminate in hiring, because every company has to say they don't.

It is a bunch of shit. If I lived in a state that gave a fuck about trans rights I would post on google reviews how I was treated by some companies. I know some people would get a hard on over someone like me being mistreated anyways.

You are right, all companies say they do but You can look and see everyone who works there fits a nice little mold of being White and male.
