Topic: When will social media become passe?

Anonymous A started this discussion 10 years ago #51,918

I'm growing tired of Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, Reddit. I want to know what the next big thing will be to replace them. Will the era of social media draw to a close soon or is it destined to continue for twenty more years?

About 3 years ago. Unfortunately, we're stuck in a world full of internet zombies.

No, I just copied his html because he didn't update the site very often and eventually it died.

About the same time email and texting become passe. That is, never.

That's pretty funny coming from someone whom still uses IRC.

IRC isn't fashionable, it's practical. I can communicate with multiple people instantly or just ignore it if I'm busy and read the scrollback later. Plus it's pre web 1.0 so there's nothing flashy about it.
