If that makes sense.
She also gave me my first copy of the Bhagavad Gita, which I still have somewhere around here.

It was essentially a campaign in India where people pledge not to shit in the fucking street, hah). The other scary parts are due to religious/ethnic differences I think mostly. The weird part might just be the culture, I mean for a society that still has plenty of arranged marriages, strong traditions, and a caste system that seems to be hanging on in some ways (e.g. apparently last names play a role in this, like it'd be a good thing to be born a Patel, I'm sure someone could explain it better than I could, I'm only going off bits I remember, but this was a few years ago).

I don't see why it is so hard for you to convince your doctor that you are transgender. Mine was actually pretty nice and just kind of gave me the hormones. Then again I did go to an IC clinic.

I really am hesitant to deny someone else's internal experience, but the last few weeks have made me wonder whether they are trans-.
Even if they are, their other mental health issues are so marked and they're so resistant to treatment that a competent psychiatrist wouldn't want their patient transitioning while completely unstable.

It was so hard finding a job where I wouldn't be discriminated against, they all said the same thing "We don't discriminate against transgendered people!" but never called back. I finally interviewed with a company that accepts me for who I am and it is such a relief. The gay dudes have figured it out already however. My face has changed so much since I started, a few more months and some makeup and I will probably look even more like a girl. This is a hard path, far harder than most who are crossdreamers realize. I mean I was bad before, I was constantly depressed and doing drugs. When I took the hormones it changed my life and I am happy for once in years.

You are the first person to ask me that and I am not sure how to answer.
With all of the hatred, bigotry and legislation I am terrified. But for once, I have a reason to want to be happy. My entire life I just drifted through days, hating the man that stared back at me in the mirror. I think when I finally see a girl staring back at me I will be.

Keep going down this path. It isn't as much about passing for me as it is about feeling right. Estrogen feels right while I take it. Being a girl feels right. Testosterone just made me depressed and angry. Being a man made me depressed and angry. I know I will find someone who will accept me for who I am and that is all that matters.

I already do. Other people do too. I had a guy a few days ago who called me ma'am and it felt amazing. I don't have any of the usual male facial characteristics. I might end up being an ugly woman, but I will at least look like one.
