It's 1971 televised (and later full length theatrical) film directed by Stephen Spielberg about this paranoid motorist who is stalked and harassed by a mysterious driver of a tanker truck. The entire movie more or less takes place on the road similar to a more modern post-apocalyptic picture.

Wondering if your question is a Set up for me to reply.
It was filmed for TV. CEO of MCA/Universal watched it and demanded a 2nd version for Eu film release. The Tractor had already fallen off a cliff in total destruction. It was also the very last model so a similar version had to be found and fixed up to look similar. Lots of cutting room footage was patched in.
I was asked to find a way to get around a lease agreement to destroy a Panavision camera and at the same time recover the film - The only movie I ever directly contributed to. Panavision was totally pissed off and was run by a wacko - Money to compensate was not the issue because the wacko considered each camera to be one of his own children. He did however take more money than the camera was worth.
Something I have never shared before is - Years later the star of the movie ends up as a Sunday minister of sorts for the Self Realization Fellowship Church in Pacific Palisades - I am however not ready to detail how that has anything to do with anything.
