Topic: If you have gaps in your childhood memory, how would you know?

If you don't remember living at a certain place where you lived for years, then it's obvious you have gaps in your memory.
But who can remember most of their childhood days? Isn't it quite normal to not remember most of them?
So it's kinda dumb to be a doctor and ask this sort of question because if you have already forgotten most of it then how would you know the difference between normal lack of memories and a gap in memory?

Well, it all started one sunny day. He got up and decided to go to the local park to "watch" the kids play.
On his way to said park, he sees this very young child walking down the street.
He decides to follow girl for however many blocks, terrifying young girl.
Then proclaims he didn't realize he was "accidentally stalking" said child.
Proves by above statement, that he is, in fact, a pedo.

Plot twist: it was actually like two minutes and in those two minutes i had disturbing thoughts and feelings about me being pedo in her eyes. Then she finally turned another way and I could continue my path to school like normal.
Later that day i decided to make a thread about it but then I figured it wouldn't be thread worthy if it was just two minutes. So I said 20 minutes and like usual everyone believed.

Yeah but how are you supposed to identify gaps? You hear stories from people who suddenly remembered their abuse. They say stuff like "there was two weeks missing from my life and I didn't know why" but I'm saying, who remembers all their lives? Because it's pretty normal not to remember two weeks that happened years in the past.

Parents and relatives and childhood friends help fill in the gaps.
For instance. Once while going to a pre-school with my cousin - In a bus. We hit or were hit by an ambulance. I never did ask how many of us ended up going to a hospital. I have no real memory (or do I?) of this event. My cousin told me that story 13 or so years later and I said WOT? Confirmed the story with my parents. I had zero memory.
Now I do remember the details BUT is it because of being told? Feels real enough. Actually I do remember a few details beyond what my cousin told me. OR did I fill them in with something I saw in a movie or on TV re Hospital drama. I was not hurt at all. So maybe just in for observation.
